This is my first time in Pawleys Island so why not start the day off right with good breakfast?! What's that? Eggs Up Grille you say? Let's go! Apparently this is where it all started so you know it's gotta be great. There was obviously a wait, but I was solo so I sat at "the bar"! Ha! Great service. Good view of the TV. Had a newspaper and ordered "The Classic"! Top that off with their Hot Chocolate with whipped cream! EGGS UP IN HEAVEN GRILL! This place is consistent and always does it right. Glad I came! Cheers from Anderson, SC!

Having breakfast on their patio was great! The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and coffee as well, I had the chocolate waffles. The only thing was when we had a miscommunication with the waitress about splitting an entrée. Overall though, everything was good and I would definitely recommend this place!

I've been to other eggs up locations before and this was my first time at Pawleys. The wait was about 15-20 minutes but it's totally worth it! Their breakfast is amazing and our waitress Lola was super nice. I would highly recommend their corned beef hash and home fries :)

Food was very good but only gave 3 stars because they are still using high fructose corn syrup in their products such as ketchup and jellies.

My husband and I ate breakfast here and loved it! Friendly service and cute atmosphere. Gotta love it when you see a Bible on the counter right when you walk in! I ordered the Bananas Foster waffle and home fries and my hubby got the Eggs Benedict and grits. The food was excellent! Would definitely go back!

Great service and a very nice menu selection. My breakfast, as well as one of the other meals in our group, was WAY too salty. May just have been to cook that day but I don't think I'll be back.

My family has been wanting to come here during our family vacations, but for such a large party and during peak beach season, it's usually impossible. The line goes out the door and the wait can be for an hour or more, which is a long time for a breakfast place. We finally got in this year because we happened to take our vacation before the season started. That being said, it's got good food! Not worth an hour wait, but I could wait a lil to get some of their food. They have a good selection of omelettes, pancakes, and different breakfast plates including smothered home fries. I got the Philly cheesesteak omelette and it was really good. If I make it back another time I might get the pecan pancakes (which sound real good)! The place has a typical breakfast diner look, with a side room that feels like someone's sun room in their home with a big TV against the back wall. If we get a chance to get back in there before the hordes swarm the place again, we definitely will. So far it's the best breakfast place we've been to in the North Litchfield beach area!

Love love love this place. They have the best eggs Benedict! Everything I have ever ordered at this restaurant has been top notch. The wait staff has always been excellent and you cannot beat the location. You will not be disappointed by stopping here.

I'm not going to lie, I was looking forward to waking up every morning just because of Eggs Up. Definitely come early during the summer since a line can form quickly. I've had the eggs, waffles, the french toast, home fries, etc....I think waffles and some extra crispy home fries (gotta ask for it) are the way to go.

  • Verity Y.

Pretty good! I had the Greek omelette with home fries and my bf had the fruit French toast. He said the toasters perfect! It wasn't too moist or dry. My omelette was good. Lots of olives in there. Next time I wouldn't order butter on the toast. It was drenched in butter!

Looking for a breakfast spot and happened here after reading great reviews. Could not have been more pleased. Great breakfast: Granola blueberry pancakes, the Mason Dixon, classic eggs and blue berry pancakes, all recommended. Good coffee. Great friendly service. We even put our pins on the wall. Highly recommend.

Came here on the morning of the first full day on Pawleys Island after seeing this restaurant on our way to where we were staying. Yes, there was a wait, about 20-30 minutes, but it just goes to show how popular this place is. Usually if it's crowded and busy, and the waitstaff knows many by a first name basis, it is a good place to go. I had the breakfast wrap with bacon and american cheese with grits on the side. It was amazing. It was nice and fluffy and the bacon was perfectly crisp. My mom, who is fussy about her eggs, usually orders her eggs "over hard, stabbed and swirled, break the yolk" and the cooks listened and did exactly that. It was perfect. I would definitely come by here again.

My husband and I went here yesterday. First off I was put off by the lack of handicapped parking in the front. Second off, I was put off by a man at a podium taking names and numbers of parties, and being told we had 25-30 minute wait. Really!? Perhaps we should have gone somewhere else, where we don't have these obstacles. We waited 15 minutes and were called in. I requested a booth if it were available, and lucky for me, we got a booth. Our waitress was delightful and kept our coffee cups full. Our breakfast was delicious, as we expected. They charge a fair price for your meal. The fact they have gone through the trouble of a podium out front indicates to me, this is a normal situation in this restaurant. This clearly puts me off. No handicapped access to me, indicates to me that they want to cut out this population at their restaurant. These two barriers are why I gave three stars.

We loved eggs up grill! The wait was extremely long though (1 hour outside, 30 mins to get our food) I would definitely not go there again without calling ahead & making sure we have a table READY just in time that we get there. This was on a Sunday morning. We went for breakfast but ended up having to go to a bagel bakery next door to have something small to hold us off until we got our table. The food was delicious! The eggs, the biscuits & gravy, & the potatoes(our fave) were amazing!!! However their pancakes lacked a bit in texture & flavor.

  • Kaylee A.

Really enjoyed this place for breakfast! Recommend the eggs Benedict! Order your potatoes crispy, if you're into that sorta thing. Our server was very friendly and helpful! Going at 7 am is not our usual, but the service was fast! See pictures to drool over eggs Benedict.

Breakfast was very good. Sunday morning so there was a wait but that was expected. To the reviewer who was 'put off' by limited handicapped parking & the fact she had a wait...1st...the property management company is responsible for the parking & NOT the restaurant & 2nd...complaining about the wait??? Excuse me...she was here in August...at the beach...during prime tourist season...YOU EXPECT A WAIT!!!

It was delicious! Very good service. They were all so polite and fun. It had a good menu with a variety of breakfast foods. As well as lunch. It was very kid friendly. Loved it!!

Great good and the best service! Lots of menu choices for everyone. My friends and I ate here on out the last day of our trip and it was great breakfast that left us filled up for the drive home.

Still a terrific breakfast place. This time I got the Mason-Dixon dish. The grits were especially tasty and of course the eggs were great. My wife got plain old scrambled eggs and toast--how could this go wrong-and she loved it' We were with a group of eight and Beverly did a perfect job of serving us.

We went here for breakfast on a Thursday morning about 10:00 am for breakfast during the summer. Only had to wait a few minutes for the table. For the food a different story. It took forever, and when it got to the table it was cold. Very disappointing.

Hello friends We stumbled on this place while out & about. It's located a short distance from where we was staying (Litchfield Inn). Located in a small shopping center. Walked in & was greeted by a nice young lady. There is nice bar by the door. I noticed a few folks there chatting it up with the cooks and waiters. I take it as a good sign, a few regulars. Over to the right it opens up to the main seating area. We sat and looked over the menu. Nothin that stood out. See pics. One nice thing I noticed is the VERY BIG map at the back of the place. The waitress encouraged us to check it out. There are push pins to use to show where you are from. Pretty neat! TTFN

Best breakfast in Pawleys Island and Litchfield, SC. It is always fun to go to the grill and enjoy the grits and eggs. It is a tradition for my friends and family every year we vacation there. Friendly staff and great portions.

  • Ann L.

My omelet was one of the best here. I made a special order since I like tomatoes, spinach and white cheese and, oh so perfect!!! They do need better coffee though. I'm not talking Starbucks but specialty coffee to go with a good breakfast. Would definitely come back.

  • LaMarr H.

The food was excellent I had the southern home style fries with ham cheese salsa and 2 eggs fried hard over the top of the dish.

Still our favorite place for breakfast! Our meals are always brought out fast, correct and delicious. The wait staff is the best! From Raymond the host, who is very personable and welcoming, to all the servers who are down home friendly! We always enjoy sitting outside. We love this place!!!

We are new to the area and had researched places to enjoy breakfast which was a toss up between applewood house of pancakes and eggs up grill. We had originally chosen applewood house of pancakes until the reviews weren't as impressive as eggs up grill. My wife and I were extremely satisfied as the service was friendly and fast and the food was superb! We haven't been to applewood but would highly recommend this place. Will return on next visit.

Great breakfast spot. Two eggs scrambled, wheat toast, home fries, corned beef hash... $8.58. Did I mention that the corned beef hash is "homemade"... need I say more.

We come here for breakfast every year on our vacation to Litchfield. The prices, service & food are great. My kids love it.

  • Kari W.

The food was so good but I gave this a 3 star because we had to wait forever for our food to arrive. Our waitress was sweet but I'm pretty sure our order got lost. The table next to us got seated, got their food and finished eating long before ours arrived. I had the french toast which was excellent and the hash browns were good too. When I'm on vacation I typically don't like to spend close to 2 hours getting breakfast (which was our total time including a 40 min wait for a table) but if you have time to kill, the food is delicious.

  • Irene H.

We eat here every time we're in town. Service is always great. Every meal we've had has been fresh and tasty. My favorite is the little waffle in the hen house. The home fries are fantastic but corn beef hash is a must! Gluten free items are offered as well. You can't go wrong with Eggs Up Grill-there's something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable.

  • M L.

Nice place for breakfast or brunch. We met friends and had a large party (8). We were immediately accommodated. I was impressed, as it was a Sunday. Not typically a fan of chain restaurants, but this one is an exception. Try the hash, it's delicious!

  • Carol K.

I didn't expect people to be waiting for a table for breakfast, but we didn't have to wait long, and it was worth it. Everyone in our group loved their breakfast: waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs, biscuits. We had a hard time deciding what to order because it all looked so good. We will definitely find time for breakfast or lunch here the next time we are at the beach.

First time at Eggs Up after coming to Pawleys for the last 5 years. Shouldn't have waited until now.... Food was awesome and the folks super friendly. Will definitely return.

What a wonderful experience. My husband loves this bagel and omelets. I get this meal with a half waffle 2 eggs and bacon The waitress suggested a buckwheat waffle with granola. Oh my goodness, this was unbelievable. Every bite was awesome. The waitress kept our drinks filled, offered to go drinks, the manager checked on us to see if everything was good. He did this to everyone, not just us. They blessed us as we walked out. What an awesome way to start the day.

I dropped in to grab a quick bite to eat while I was staying across the street at Litchfield. I sat at the counter and a server took my order right away. I ordered the greek omelette with home fries and whole wheat toast. The omelette was pretty good and the serving size was ample. Prices were very reasonable & service was friendly. I would eat here again.

Always busy during tourist season. Pretty consistent, worth checking out if you are hungry.

Lets start with appearance, very nice atmosphere and homey decor. The service is good and staff is friendly. Is usually full but wait is about 15-20min. Coffee is great, their omelette and potatoes are to die for. Their French toast are very tasty-have cinnamon in the batter; portions are normal, but if you are a wealthy eater consider double or triple portions. Overall great experience. You won't wrong

    (5)
  • Cate W.

This place rocks! The service is phenomenal. Their waffles might be the best in the world. It gets crowded so best to go early or call ahead and get your name on the list!

  • C K.

Three if us went (in June) around 11am and had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes, then sat at the counter. Granola French toast was okay, the grits were not anything special. Wait staff was not very attentive, maybe because they were busy. Seems like a popular place but there are better places in the area.

Breakfast was fresh ingredients, good coffee , and fast friendly service. Oh and the two of us had omelets and coffee and after tip $20, I will be back!

Well, come on. If you know anything about breakfast in the South, you know its grits and eggs and fried stuff. Eggs Up (both locations) are awesome. You get the grits (holy YUM) and you get the biscuits (heart attack but worth the bypass). But you can also stay somewhat true to your west coast ways. My favorite? The veggie stir-fry scramble with egg whites. Careful, though, you need to tell them (five times) to make sure to make the omelets with no butter or oil or your good lower fat intentions go out the window. Two words of caution: these are very Christian folks, complete with the Ten Commandments on a life-size tablet outside the restaurant. Second, be ready for a wait. You can call 15 minutes ahead and have your name put on the list, though. :)

In a word........AWESOME!!!! It started with the young lady taking names for seating and ended with the young lady at the register. Everyone was happy and enjoying their jobs. The food was great. It came out quickly. It is a must go to place!!

  • Michael T.

Great diner style place for breakfast. No frills. Just good breakfast food - pancakes, french toast, eggs. Nothing fancy, just what mom would serve at home. Good stuff!

  • Lindsey D.

We stopped here for breakfast before we headed down to Charleston. They were super busy, so we did have to wait for a table. It was worth it, though. Super friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Very satisfying. Our waitress also gave us a free hot chocolate with whip cream on top because someone decided they didn't want it and she didn't want to waste it... bonus! This place was affordable and very clean.

While spending the week end in Polly's Island we dropped by Egg's Up Grill. The weather was nice for Feb. but on this particular mourning It was thunder and lighting so standing out side was not gonna work!!! We waited in side for maybe 12 to 15 min. for a party of 5. Kind of a busy mourning, which they say is normal for the week end's. Our party was seated and coffee and water was delivered quickly. We had time to change our minds several times before our waitress came back. The menu was full of choices custom made omelette's to wait watchers plates. Our order was sent to the kitchen by a palm pad.it did not speed our order by any means. They offered their own version of Hash, one of my favorites.Eggs and hash browns where cooked perfectly. My wife thought her pancakes where just right. One of our party had Belgium waffles with blue berries looked wonderful. Her husband opted for a custom made omelette. Cheese ham onions sausage jalapeno's,looked good but sounded like disaster later on. Ha!! A kid's menu plus a lunch menu. The food was good...Service just a bit slow. Our bill was under 20 bucks but our friends was slightly under 30. They added a couple of sides which really ran the bill up. Still food was good.

  • R J.

Corned beef hash was great...homemade because you have little chunks of beef in it that had some texture to them, unlike the mushy canned stuff. Eggs tasted a lot like...eggs. Grits were nice and creamy, not the water based bland style. The only thing that didn't do it for us was the pancakes. They were not very light and fluffy. More chewy than anything. Good service. We would go back.

  • Richard L.

I have no idea what the high ratings are for. Microwaved sausage, chewy pancakes that also tasted microwaved. Things came out too fast to be fresh cooked. Service was terrible. Had to ask 3 times for coffee to be refilled. My daughter loves grits more than anything and she wouldn't eat them. Plenty of staff so it wasn't that they were understaffed. Go to studio cafe in muirrels inlet instead of here

I stopped here at lunch time on my way to Savannah, with my two 8 year-old boys. Since it was just after church, there was a little wait, but not bad. Inside it was cool, and clean, and efficient. Not funky, not homey, but friendly. The wait staff were nice and helpful. I liked that you could get 1/2 portions of both sides if you want. The boys both ordered chocolate chip pancakes, which even though they came off the kids menu, were plenty large. I had a greek omelette - it was a nice size, and tasted fresh. Overall, a nice stop on a long drive.

  • Dustin B.

I really enjoyed to layout. Great atmosphere and clean, they even have wifi if someone knows how to give you password,etc.. The Food was ok. The omelete was very thin and not fluffy and I asked for a side of country sausage gravy, which was the worst thing I have ever had, not to mention the looks of it.

Each location of the Eggs Up franchise South of Myrtle Beach has never disappointed. The eggs are good and the service is quick and hospitable.

My husband and I ate breakfast there on Thursday, June 20. From the time we stepped in the door til we paid the check and left, it was a very nice dining experience. Everyone that was working there that we had contact with were very friendly. Our waitress was very attentive and just a joy. The food was really tasty. Next time we vacation in that area, you can bet that we will be back!

  • Shyla D.

Really great food, Super busy in the mornings but in my opinion worth the slight wait. They serve breakfast and lunch and open at about 6 in the morning. The eggs are off the chain and the pancakes can definitely hold their own. The way the wait staff take your orders is super cool and make sure to put your hometown up on the map (I'll let you figure that out for yourselves)

    (4)
  • Jason L.

Very good breakfast joint to hit up if you are staying near the Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort. Tucked in the same shopping complex as the Piggly Wiggly. I had the ham and cheese sandwich with the home style potatoes. The portion sizes were perfect and flavors spot on. Prices are excellent and service is good.

  • Mike S.

Stopped by the Eggs Up Grill and had about a 15 minute wait. My wife and I each had omelets and my sons had waffles and pancakes. The wait staff was super friendly and the food was out in a reasonable amount of time. We all agreed the food was okay, but nothing special. Not sure with all the choices for breakfast around that it was worth the wait. I had grits as a side and they were just the instant variety. Not great and not bad. If you get there and the wait is long, don't be afraid that you'll be missing something special by going elsewhere.

it's ok. I really wanted to like this place, but I have definitely had better breakfast. I might show again just to try something else, but I don't know.

Great low key, quality place to go to breakfast while on vacation in Pawley's. I absolutely love it. Though, I may be biased as breakfast is my favorite meal :) They do breakfast and lunch, though I've only had their breakfast. Plus, it's two seconds away from the beach house. It's local run diner with another location in Southside beach. Casual diner feel, but high tech ordering. All of the waiters have palm pilots that send the order straight to the kitchen right after it's written. Pretty cool. I love variety and most of the breakfasts come with your choice of breakfast potatoes OR grits. Of course I want both, so they give me a little portion of each. Perfect!

Very, very good. Did NOT like paying $1.85 for a cup of coffee.

We had brunch here on fathers day. Although it was packed we got cheery service I had pancakes and eggs which were great and my husband had a southern omlet which he thought was really good. The only problem is that the meal went through us like a roto rooter!

    (3)
  • Rhett T.

Perhaps the best breakfast in Pawleys--food is great, if you can take the wait! Eggs Benedict is my fav.

    (5)
  • Jay C.

Vacationing in pawleys island, sought breakfast with local flair (ie grits, thick cut bacon, fried fish.) Eggs Up serves up a very generic egg-centric breakfast menu that could have easily been a Denny's menu. Don't get me wrong: grits was on the menu, albeit something that came in a Styrofoam dish and tasted like Instant. Eggs were prepared to order and service was friendly and quick and hungry cranky children don't stand out in this noisy bustling joint. Take ur kids here for breakfast. but go to Litchfield Breakfast, if you dont mind snail slow service but real deal southern flavors.

NEW LOCATION: 115 Willbrook Blvd Ste K, Pawleys Island, SC - shares a shopping center with Piggly Wiggly Supermarket on west side of highway 17. Good food, excellent service. Popular with locals. We went mid morning on a November Sunday. We and several others waited outside for seating; they had thoughtfully provided radiant heaters and free coffee.

  • Maggie A.

Awesome breakfast place. We both had eggs, though they have pancakes and waffles on the menu as well. The eggs benedict was awesome and my sunny side up eggs were great as well. Give this place a try if you're looking for a good breakfast in the area.
